Member Service Representative

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Service members in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Open new accounts/CD’s
  • Assist members with online banking and account questions
  • Answer member phone calls with excellent phone etiquette
  • Make contact with members regarding loan applications
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with members while adhering to high service standards
  • Cross-sell credit union products to all members

Requirements:

  • Banking and/or strong customer service experience is necessary
  • Effective interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high volume customer service environment
  • Familiarity in the use of a PC and a working knowledge of MS word and excel
  • Outgoing personality
  • High school graduate or equivalent

Bilingual, English/Spanish is a plus Presently seeking full time: Must be able to work 40 hours/week. Applicant must have availability Monday through Saturday.

Floating Teller - Full Time

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Service members in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments etc. as well as issuing teller checks and money orders
  • Opens and closes his/her teller box; responsible for maintaining a balanced cash drawer
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with members while adhering to high service standards
  • Cross-sell credit union products to all members

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license along with a reliable car is required
  • **Mandatory 2 week training at our main branch in Hauppauge, NY**
  • Ability to adapt to various branch locations
  • Teller experience and/or customer service experience that includes heavy cash handling
  • Effective interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high volume customer service environment
  • Familiarity in the use of a PC and a working knowledge of MS word and excel
  • Must be dependable, trustworthy and reliable
  • Work as a team with coworkers

Business Development Representative

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Contact businesses and SEGs through various channels (mailings, phone calls and/or personal visits) to recruit companies and employees for membership and schedule on-site visits.
  • Recognize and solicit business development opportunities for credit union involvement to increase brand recognition and awareness in the local community. Participate actively in community organizations which provide networking opportunities for achieving profitable business relationships including, but not limited to community & public relations events, chamber of commerce functions, business trade associations and area networking events.
  • Build strong relationships with members and employees
  • Maintain in-depth product knowledge and educate the members we serve about products and promotions through various channels
  • Work with our Customer Relationship Management system to implement campaigns.
  • Accurately maintain the database of current and prospective partnerships as well as, monthly business development activities. Prepare monthly Business Development summary assessments and status reports of current SEG, organizations, prospects, and activities.
  • Process all new membership/share applications for retail accounts which includes collecting all required documentation and maintenance of new accounts arising from business development activities. Provide ongoing member relationship management and servicing as needed.
  • Assist with design and content creation of business flyers and presentations
  • Represent the credit union at various events when needed
  • This a great entry level opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with customer service, sales and marketing skills.

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma required
  • MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE!
  • BILINGUAL: ENGLISH/SPANISH IS REQUIRED!

  • Ability to cross-sell Credit Union products and services
  • Technical skills should include Excel, Power Point, Google Docs & Canva

  • This Full Time position is based out of our Hauppauge location and requires a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of various site visits and events.
  • Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
